Sep 15, 2015 I recently upgraded an HP/Compaq dc7800 SFF desk top Computer from Windows Vista to 7 Professional. In the device manager I am now getting no driver indications for the PCI Serial port and the PCI Comms.

HP support then told me that this was actually a missing driver for the chipset. They then told me 'Drivers for windows 8.1 pro 64 bit are not available, HP is still working on it, please get in touch with Microsoft for the temporary drivers.' I am assuming the chipset drivers are connected to the internal audio and serial port. I tried to update driver software using the 'Search automatically for updated driver software' without any luck.
